My work bridges academic insight and business practice, helping companies strengthen strategic agility, innovation, and performance through research-based consulting and experiential learning.
As a faculty member within the College of Interdisciplinary Studies at Zayed University, I have been actively engaged in the Partner Challenge program, a flagship experiential learning initiative where students collaborate with industry and government partners to address real-world business and societal challenges. My role involved guiding student teams, designing challenge frameworks, and ensuring that projects integrate strategic thinking, innovation, and interdisciplinary collaboration. I contributed to shaping the program’s structure, aligning it with the university’s mission to enhance employability, applied learning, and external partnerships that drive meaningful impact across the UAE and beyond.
July 2024: Held a four-day in-person training “Advanced Strategic Planning” for the members of the middle management team from diverse sectors of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Corporation (ADNOC). The training took place between July 1-4 in Abu Dhabi.
October 2022: Participated as the lecturer on the topic of Balanced Scorecard attended by the middle management team from Abu Dhabi National Oil Corporation (ADNOC). The workshop was conducted online for five consecutive days (October 10-14).
January 2022 – August 2022: Engaged as a lecturer for General Management and Business Planning within the Management Development Program (MDP) at the College of Business and Economics, United Arab Emirates University. This integrated development program is for junior and middle managers of UAE companies.
November – December 2021: Acted as the lecturer in two online workshops entitled “Building Sustainable Partnerships in the Higher Education (Advanced)”, organized by Orient Management Consulting & Training from Abu Dhabi, UAE. The participants were academics and professionals from Higher Colleges of Technology in the UAE.
October 2018 – May 2021: Acted as the coordinator for the Business Consulting Center at the College of Business Administration, within the American University of the Middle East. The main activities of the Center include management consulting to students with viable business ideas, as well as to the wider business community in Kuwait who seek these services.
January 2015 - January 2016: acted as a researcher on a project “Macroeconomic study on net effects of import substitution of fossil fuels with biomass”, prepared for Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, project DKTI- Development of a Sustainable Bioenergy Market in Serbia.
February 2015 – December 2015: acted as the financial consultant for the company Belkal Han from Gadzin Han in Serbia, which was engaged in investing in a calcite mining and extraction project.
Between 2005 and 2014, I was actively involved in numerous entrepreneurship development, consulting, and training projects across Serbia and the Western Balkans, collaborating with organizations such as USAID (USA), GIZ (Germany), SPARK (The Netherlands), and the Serbian Ministry of Education, Science, and Technological Development. My work included designing and delivering SME management and entrepreneurship training, preparing strategic development plans for municipalities in Kosovo and Serbia, and developing business plans for startups across diverse industries. I served as principal lecturer and consultant in multiple EU- and government-funded projects, focusing on innovation management, strategic planning, and capacity building for emerging entrepreneurs. Through these initiatives, I contributed to strengthening local economic development, entrepreneurial ecosystems, and knowledge transfer in transitional economies.
