The VINE Journal of Information and Knowledge Management Systems recognizes the reality and need of organizations, both governmental and private, to operate in a highly interdependent world, where collaboration and knowledge/information are the predominant assets for getting things done; and, in many cases, critical for achieving competitive advantage.
A combination of topical themed issues, well-researched, timely, unbiased articles, and practical overviews which can be applied in the workplace ensure that the journal offers lively and topical coverage of developments in the field.
IJBBM focuses on bibliometric analysis. By analysing published papers in specific academic fields involving all business and management areas, it addresses issues such as publications by year and research themes; contributions by authors, institutions and regions; keywords used; and citations and co-citations. Areas covered include general management, human resource management, strategic management, organisational behaviour, organisation theory, knowledge management, crisis management, family business, business ethics, marketing, accounting, finance, etc., applied to all disciplines, industries and countries.
The journal was established by the Serbian Association of Economists in 1953 under the name Ekonomika preduzeća. Since 2012, the journal has been published in English language on a quarterly basis, in both print and electronic editions. At the beginning of 2024 the journal changes its name into Economics of Enterprise (translated Ekonomika preduzeća).
Following the stance that “economics is the science of the context,” the journal's primary scope of interest encompasses economics, both micro and macro, along with relevant research areas from other scientific fields overlapping with economic issues. Also, the journal has a special interest in management as related issue, both macro management and micro management (or business management). The consequences of the root causes of economic problems and the solutions for mitigating them and making improvements are primarily analyzed from the perspective of enterprise as a basic economic agent.
